How do I add a new page?

Tap the + button in the bottom-right corner of the screen. A new blank page will be added to the end of your notebook.

How do I insert an image?

Tap the image icon in the toolbar. This opens your photo library — select any photo to place it on the current page. You can then move, resize, and crop it with your fingers.

How do I draw over an image?

Tap an image to select it, then use your Apple Pencil to draw directly on it. Your annotations are attached to the image and will move with it.

How do I back up my notes?

Tap the backup icon in the toolbar. This exports a .handynote file containing all your pages, drawings, and images. Save it to Files or share it anywhere. To restore, tap the same icon and choose your backup file.

Why does the pencil palette sometimes disappear?

Tap anywhere on the canvas with your Pencil to bring it back. The palette is tied to whichever canvas is active — switching between the page canvas and an image canvas can sometimes hide it temporarily.

Can I delete a page?

Tap the − button in the toolbar to delete the current page. This action cannot be undone, so back up first if needed.

Does HandyNote sync across devices?

HandyNote stores everything locally on your iPad. There is no cloud sync — use the backup/restore feature to transfer notes between devices.
